What has Sarah Palin done to attract so much hate on the left wing?

She ran for VP and lost, by a landslide. I'm sure she wasn't a perfect governor, but she wasn't Rod Blagoyevich, for a Republican woman she is definitely not as smart as Condoleeza Rice in my opinion, but has a decent education, her ethics complaints were dismissed, even troopergate, to my knowledge people in Alaska didn't lose any liberties or rights under her, is it solely because she is pro-choice, and right to bear arms, and believes in creationism, or is there another reason?
